| The
Tianjin Medical University with its affiliated hospitals has advanced equipment
and powerful technology, which is a base for training and Research. Five
university hospitals are Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, Secondary
TMU Hospital, Third TMU Hospital, TMU Stomatology Hospital and TMU Metabolism
Disease Center. Three of them are Ⅲ degree A-level hospital and the Tianjin
Medical University General Hospital is firstly enrolled. Three affiliated
hospitals are First Central Hospital, Third Central Hospital and Tianjin
Cancer Hospital, which all have the same degree with five university hospitals.
Besides these, there are 20 teaching hospitals.
In five university hospitals, the Medical University General Hospital
is 50 years old and is the biggest medical services provider which is
also enhanced by national investment during the "Seventh five-year plan";
The Secondary TMU hospital is a large general hospital; the TMU Stomatology
Hospital is an advanced specialized founded in the end of 1980s; the TMU
Metabolism Disease Center is the first Metabolism Disease hospital which
was founded by the municipal investment and Japan 504 million Yin support.
In Three affiliated Hospitals, the First Central Hospital is enrolled
in the 18 hospitals which was greatly helped by the country in the "Seventh
five-year plan"; the Third Central Hospital was expanded to municipal
hospital during the "Eighth Five-year"; the Tianjin Cancer Hospital is
the largest specialized hospital.
In the "Eighth five-year plan", the university attract the foreign capital
to set up the "Tianjin International Intraocular Implant Training Center"
so that it holds one of the 20 ophthalmology centers of the World Ophthalmology
Association.
