First Central Hospital has a possession of 1,100 beds, 30 special clinic
departments, 5 research labs and an Organ Transplantation Center and a
Ministry of Health Key Lab. There is a staff of 2073, including 248 people
having associated-senior title, 32 experts enjoying National Special Subsidies
and 14 directors of doctorate and master degree.
The hospital is the educational base for TMC, Medical College of Nankai
University, Medical College of Armed-police and other related colleges.
The Tianjin Quality Control center of Medical Imaging, Medical Preservation,
Medical Nursing and Medical History are all in the hospital.
On 10th May 1994, the first apposite-alien liver transplantation was
finished successfully. The patient's medical condition after the operation
has been safety. A new surviving record of domestic liver-transplanted
patient is made in Tianjin. After this achievement, the hospital team
also creates many recorders in the operation number, successful Ratio,
surviving patients number and operation number in short-term. Tianjin
First Central Hospital is the only one, which can generally run the operation
of liver-transplantation.
