When they talked about the status of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Mr. Li said:" The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce is the biggest Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, which has over 6000 members, great strength and wide influence. It did a lot of things for the economic development between Tianjin and Hong Kong." And Dr Robin CHAN Yau-hing said smilingly:" We built a bridge." His words showed the efforts made by The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce for strengthening the economic exchange between inland and Hong Kong. Then he said:" Aim of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce is 'loving motherland, loving Hong Kong' and it always tries its best to support the economic development of cities and provinces of inland including Tianjin.

3 Generations Held Exhibition of Paintings

Dr Robin CHAN Yau-hing said: Everyone of his family ardently loves arts. They held an exhibition of paintings last year, which showed paintings of Dr Robin CHAN Yau-hing, as well as his children and grandchildren. Even the Chief Executive of HKSAR Mr.Tung Chee Hwa cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony for him personally. This time, Mr. Chan gave a paintings album to Mr. Li as a present, which be accepted happily.
