In 30th, March, the third day of "2001 Tianjin Week in Hong Kong", the weather is fine. The Forum on Cooperation and Development of IT Industry between Tianjin and Hong Kong, which subject is "Creating New IT Economy in Tianjin and Hong Kong Together", was held in Hong Kong. Representatives of IT circle coming from Tianjin and Hong Kong met there to negotiate the development scheme.

Vice-Mayor of Tianjin Wang Shuzu attended the forum and gave speech. He said:" The relation between TianJin and Hong Kong is fairly long. Tianjin will cooperate with Hong Kong faithfully and make progress together. Both sides will open up IT markets of each other constantly in order to promote economic development and make contributions for improving living qualities of human beings."

Nowadays, IT industry has been the field which has the quickest increasing speed, the greatest potentiality, the highest mixing extent and the most closely competition among the global economy.The Forum on Cooperation and Development held during "2001 Tianjin Week in Hong Kong" has its special background: Hong Kong, which made wonderful achievements in information industry in recent years, works for being key position of information industry in Asia Pacific Region.
