March 28, eNorth from Hong Kong: On the first day of "2001 Tianjin Week in Hong Kong", the tourism circles of Tianjin and Hong Kong negotiated about the ways in which to cooperate with one another and signed first batch, namely, more than 20 contracts in "Tianjin and Hong Kong Tourism Cooperation Conference". Mr. Wang Shuzu, Vice Mayor of Tianjin and Vice Director of Tianjin Government Delegation, attended the signing ceremony and made a speech.

Mr. Wang said that Tianjin had abundant tourism resources, including mountains, rivers, lakes, sea, historic sites and modern metropolitain life quality as well. In addition, Tianjin owns lots of business opportunities. All that offers possibility for Tianjin and Hong Kong tourism industry to establish an all-around cooperation.

Since the tourism business between Tianjin and Hong Kong increases in high speed, their mutual-development tendency is apparent and the amount of the visitors from Tianjin and Hong Kong travel to these two cities keeps increasing, the tourism cooperation between Tianjin and Hong Kong is the inexorable trend. The first batch of tourism contracts between Tianjin and Hong Kong includes the following two aspects:

One is the cooperation between the tourism organizations of Tianjin and Hong Kong. Tianjin Tourism Bureau and Hong Kong Tourism Bureau, Tianjin Tourism Association and Travel Industry of Hong Kong aim at establish a long-term and steady relationship. They contracted of enhancing the information and talent communications, co-developing their tourism market, promoting their local visitors to travel to Hong Kong or Tianjin, and at the same time enhancing the tourism management in order to ensure the quality of tourism service.

The other one is Tianjin International Tourism Group Corporation, Tianjin China Tourism Service, Tianjin Youth Tourism Service, Tianjin Kanghui Tourism Service and Tianjin Tianxin International Tourism Company respectively signed cooperation contracts with 18 Hong Kong tourism services including Hong Kong China International Travel Agency Co.,Ltd. In this way, they established cooperation partenership relations to exchange visitors and organize communication travel groups in order to develop the tourism business between Tianjin and Hong Kong.
