Show Makes the Shops Cheerless

1, eNorth from Hong Kong: The acrobatic show by Tianjin Acrobatic
Troupe during the public show widely broadens Hong Kong people's horizon.
Many foreigners are also lucky enough to watch the performance. They
must get the richest "harvest" by visiting Time Square this day. The
wonderfulness of the show makes the shops in the Square much more
cheerless than usual. Time Square is not unifiedly run as many department
stores do in China, while the shops in it are independently rented
and run by the privacies selling various brands of goods instead.
We observed that the citizens who come here to do shopping on Sunday
are "stopped" in the hall on the first floor by the acrobatic performances
of "Forcing through Barrels" and "Single-Handstand", etc. The breathtaking
performance attracts the attention of the audiences completely and
they almost "forget themselves". Claspping their fists tightly, they
worry about the safety of the performers. When each wonderful activity
is over, they loosen their hands and applaud warmly. But soon after
that they clasp their fists again. Looking upward, we find that the
corridor of Time Square for sight-seeing is crowded with people. They
put down the commodities because they are attracted by the acrobatic
performance, by the national culture and by Tianjin. (Journalists:
