The machinery industry of Tianjin has a long history .Tianjin Machinery & Electric Industry Corporation (the former Tianjin Machinery Industry Bureau) is the main body of Tianjin machinery industry.Its total asset reaches RMB and it has more than 300 enterprises,14 science and research institutes,20 colleges,middle professional schools and technical schools and has 140 thousand staff members.Its products include machine tools,general machinery construction dynamic machinery,crane and transport machinery,generating apparatus,electrical appliance,cable,basic component motor,elevator,food-packing machinery,standard parts and casting and forging partsetc.The main products have 140 series,1056 sorts,and 3805 varieties.
