I am a foreigner who lived in Shanghai in 2006 & 2007 andusedthe free days to visit many cities in China and visitedChongqing.Chendu is not far away from Chongqing. It is tragedy forall of us.I saw many photos from the earthquake areas which areshocking andpainful. Within minutes so many people died, so manypeople losttheir dear ones and so many became orphans. Chen Jia"sstory gave mea more vivid picture and a first hand information. Ilike China verymuch and I felt as if I lost many of myfriends.

　　May God give them courage and hope to overcome the tragedy.

　　2006和2007年，我住在上海，闲暇之余去过中国的其它一些城市，其中包括重庆。成都离重庆并不远。此次地震对于所有的人，都是一个悲剧。看了许多拍自地震现场的照片，我感到十分震惊，也很难过。就短短的几分钟时间，那么多的生命就消失了，那么多的人就失去了亲人，那么多的小孩就成了孤儿。陈佳的故事为我提供了第一手资料。我非常热爱中国，我现在的感受如同自己也失去亲人一般。

Leader display this kind of compassion towards itscitizens.Premier Wen has set an example for all World Leaders tofollow infuture disasters. As a Westerner living in China now forover 6years it goes without saying that this disaster has shown theWorldthat China and its people are compassionate towards oneanother.Not so long ago in the same region as the earthquake therewereriots which the World witnessed, but when a humanity situationsuchas this earthquake happens everyone binds together and forgetsthepast ill feelings, this is something that the Western Worldwillnever understand, until they understand the culture of theChinesePeople. Once again I as an ""outsider"" fully acknowledgethatPremier Wen has led this disaster from the front line andeveryChinese citizen no matter where they are in the World shouldbeproud that such a man exists within their own heritage. ToPremierWen you have shown that China is a Nation that is notdivided.

　　温总理对地震灾民表现出的同情心值得称赞。我们一般很难见到一位政府领导对民众展现出这样的同情心。温总理为全世界国家领导在未来灾害中的表现树立了榜样。我是个西方人，已经在中国生活了六年。我认为，这场灾难毫无疑问地向世界展示了中国和中国人民对彼此的同情关怀。不久以前，这个震区曾发生了骚乱。但是当地震发生后，每个人都团结在一起，抛弃过去的成见。这是西方世界在了解中国文化前，永远都无法明白的。作为一个“局外人”，我再次赞扬温总理在抗震一线指挥的举动。在世界每个角落的每个中国人都应该为他自豪。温总理，您的行为已经说明中国是不可分割的国家。
