中国日报网环球在线消息：孟加拉国政府10日宣布，该国将在本月17日完全解除实施了近两年的紧急状态。政府将在本月29日举行议会选举。

　　DHAKA, Decr 10 (Xinhua) -- The state of emergency inBangladesh,promulgated nearly two years ago, will be fully liftedfrom Decr 17ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election on Decr29, thegovernment announced here on Wednesday.

　　Commerce Adviser of the Bangladesh caretaker governmentHossainZillur Rahman made the announcement here on Wednesday.

　　Bangladesh"s major parties has long demanded that the stateofemergency should be lifted before the ninthparliamentaryelection.

　　The general election was originally due on January 22, 2007,butwas postponed following violent disputes over the impartialityofelection issues, which also led to an imposition of a stateofemergency from January 11.
